Beat the Heat with UberEats

The summer swelter has hit hard across Australia and I don’t know about you, but going out the door doesn’t look very appealing lately! When grabbing a bite to eat usually means stepping out into the scorching sun and fighting the humidity, staying inside sounds like heaven. Thankfully, with UberEATS, you can live a life of luxury and stop that rumbling tummy without going outside!

For those not using it yet (what are you waiting for?), UberEATS is an innovative service that allows you to get meals from thousands of restaurants delivered direct to your door. It couldn’t get much easier - simply open the app, plug in your address, pick a dining option near you and pick some dishes then watch it come to you. You can even track your driver! If you often deliver to the same place (like your nice, temperate home) and have a favourite payment method, after the first submission, you can save it for later. Pretty cool, huh?

With the sun beating down this weekend, we decided to stick to the air conditioning of home and order our lunch from Pitch and Fork in Toowong.

Pitch & Fork is a chic cafe in Toowong offering up a tantalising menu including everything from fresh, zesty pasta and delicious roast veggies to a mouth watering range of desserts and drinks. We chose to bite into their miso roasted pumpkin with broccoli and cauliflower smash and quinoa and blue swimmer crab spaghettini. This was then washed down with a cold drip coffee and cookies and cream shake. Easy, and sweat-free.

If you’re looking for some great food without the summer stickiness, look no further than UberEATS. If you don’t have the app yet, stop torturing yourself this summer - get it on your phone and get ordering from the comfort of home today!
