From salt lamps to Buddhist prayer flags, Café Wrapture is one of the last remaining cafes that defines the original West End culture. Wrapture serves up the tastiest homemade pita wraps, which are jam-packed, full of gourmet ingredients. The wraps are deliciously fresh and doughy unlike the dry store bought wraps you come across. Wrapture’s menu caters for vego’s, gluten intolerants and vegans (gluten free pita wraps available for an extra $1). There are some classic and not so classic flavour combinations like falafel and tahini, satay and tofu and grilled haloumi and pineapple. But nonetheless once you get a glance at the menu, your mouth will be watering. There’s also a separate breakfast wrap menu, which is available til 11am. (I’ve been eyeing off the Bacon and Banana brekky wrap for my next visit!). Wrapture is perfect for a quick and cheap takeaway breakfast or lunch with most wraps on the menu costing about $10 - $13.
The Zen Hen Wrap is filled with succulent chunks of Asian style BBQ chicken with wasabi mayo, teriyaki sauce, pickled ginger and salad. Seriously genious idea using pickled ginger on a wrap! Absolutely delicious and all ingredients are prepared fresh to order!
Wrapture stock BlackStar’s full cream cold pressed coffee which is one of the better cold press coffees you’ll find in Brisbane. All of BlackStar’s products are fair trade and organic but if you’d like to know more check out their website www.blackstarcoffee.com.au. While you’re at Wrapture make sure you try one of their homemade gluten free chocolate macadamia brownies for only $3 a pop! They certainly hit the sweet spot.
This place is run off it’s feet during lunch hours because of the surrounding business area, so if you’re thinking about taking a quick lunch break at Wrapture, call and have them make it up before you arrive. I can’t tell you how amazing these wraps are, you really do have to go and taste them for yourself! Wrap fan or not, I guarantee you will LOVE these bad boys!
